Spanning from Turkey to Ethiopia, farming has been in my family for generations. But, that rich history of tending the land slowly started disappearing during their diaspora. But since I was little I was connected to my ancestors through family stories. That interest lead me to start working at coops. Then working on a 200 acre farm as a farm-hand
to being the farm manager at a non-profit leading their Urban farm operations for 6 years. Through my journey, I’ve not only farmed, but collaborated with diverse communities and partnered with key stakeholders. Currently, serving as a farm advisor to immigrant farmers in Oregon and living on farm land raising livestock.
